Our Governors

To find out more about our school governors please read the following biographies.

Jackie Rae (Chair)

I have been a Community or Co-opted Governor at Brigg Primary School since 2004 and I have been Chair of Governors since 2010. I attend as many Committee meetings as I can and Chair.

I initially became a School Governor as both my children attended the school (born in 1995 and 2000) but have continued to be involved as I enjoy working with all the staff and children and hope I can contribute to the school community.

I recently retired as an Audit Manager with KPMG where I worked with a number of public sector organisations in the North of England focussing on external audit and financial governance.

I am interested in all aspects of school life and ensuring the school provides a safe, supportive and challenging experience for all our children and prepare them for their future.

Cllr Rob Waltham

I was born and have lived in Brigg for most of my life and was a former pupil of Brigg Primary.  I have been a Local Education Authority governor at Brigg Primary School since 2010.

As a North Lincolnshire Councillor, I represent the Brigg & Wolds Ward and have cabinet portfolio responsibility for People (Adult & Children’s Services).  At the heart of these roles, is my desire to ensure our local young people get the best possible start and opportunities to aspire to anything they want to do.

In addition, I am a Brigg Town councillor, a member of Humberside Fire Authority and the Chairman of Ancholme Valley Heritage Trust.  I also sit on the boards of North Lincolnshire Homes and the Ancholme Internal Drainage Board.

My interests are running/walking and helping local groups and organisations to develop projects for the benefit of the wider community.
