Supporting Your Child's Reading
Regularly (at least 3 times a week) listen to your child read, and discuss the story. Don't forget to write in your child's reading record so that they earn a Dojo!
Share books, take turns reading and discussing the book.
Visit the library, choose books which interest your child.
Encourage children to read or listen to their siblings.
Show your child that reading is important by being a reading role model.
Supporting your child's maths.
Sometimes your child's homework will include a maths problem, exercise or times tables. You can work with your child to ensure they develop their maths skills.
