Michelle Archer

I joined the staff of Brigg Primary School in September 2013 as Deputy Headteacher, at the same time joining the governing body as a staff governor. Prior to this I worked at Yarborough Academy in Grimsby as Assistant Headteacher, serving on the school’s governing body for 11 years. Being a staff governor allows me to play an essential role in ensuring the staff and governors of the school work closely together to provide the best possible education for every child at Brigg Primary School.

My responsibilities within school include assessment and data as well as Curriculum leader and work closely with the Curriculum, Finance and Policy committees. I also currently teach a Year Four class for three days a week.

I have lived in North Lincolnshire since 2001 when my husband and I moved from West Yorkshire and feel that it is home. My two children attend the local school and I regularly attend PTA meetings at their school, supporting and participating in many fundraising activities.
